A collection of beautiful people and things I find interesting.

Spontaneity

I randomly decided to go downtown with my friend today! A completely spontaneous decision made on the spot and off we went, strolling in the sweet sunshine… :)

There were two absolutely BEAUTIFUL stores, right next to each other too, such torture. The Yellow Button was a quaint little boutique selling the most gorgeous dresses and clothes, it has a Free People feel… with handmade crafts everywhere and button bouquets and cute windchimes. UGH just so lovely!! Ten Thousand Villages was a shop selling crafts made by artisans all over the world who aren’t getting nearly enough profit for their products in their native countries. The money from sales goes towards them to support their lifestyle… gosh, people are so talented! The most unique jewellery, richly coloured tapestries, eccentric home decorations… *le sigh* Too bad everything is so expensive! Then we went to Cat’s Cradle, where you can adopt and play with cute cats… aaaw :3 We tried on these green-and-gold geometric-print dresses (with an adorable ruffle in the front!) at this “high-end” thrift shop, both sighing as we checked the price tag ($68). “You’re thinner than me, you should definitely try on a small…” I like it when people assume that. Even if it’s not true. Hmm… And I randomly found out that she wants to be a counselor and work with patients with EDs!! Wow, what a coincidence.

Finally… we went to a thrift store called Granny Longlegs :D What a funny name, right? Trying on sequin tops, lace dresses, vintage shoes… aaah I felt so at home! And I ended up buying a long black lace dress (which I’m going to alter), a jade bracelet, and a retro polka-dot dress! :) All for $14, oh yeeeah.
